The Toto Neorest toilet model has a double cyclone flushing system, while the Kohler Veil toilet comes with a dual flushing system. Both of these flushing systems are very powerful and effective in performance. Toto uses siphon jet, while Kohler Veil uses a dual flush. Siphon jet is slightly more effective than dual flush.

Still, have a question after reading this Kohler Veil VS Toto Neorest review? Comment below.

  1. Thanks for the thorough and very well written comparison of Kohler Veil K5101-0 and Toto Neorest 700H. Though I prefer the much sleeker look of the Kohler, the slightly boxier Toto wins out. Info on the trapway was really important in deciding.

    • It was very interesting reading your comparison. But another important feature over Kholer is that Toto has a memory position. How are both for technical support and parts? And how does Toto measure up to Numi?

  2. Thanks for the comparison. As an owner of Kohler Veil K5401, I would like to make a clarification on the flushing system of Veil where “dual flush” is confusing or perhaps misleading. Kohler Veil K5401 adopts pump assist flushing system of which waste materials are removed by two pressurized water jets facing at trap way at the bottom of the toilet bowl. Pump assist flushing is superb at clearing out waste materials. However, if you are looking for a quiet toilet, Veil isn’t for you.

    • Have you had any problems with the Kohler Veil so far?

It has only 1 year warranty compared to 3 on the Toto Neorest.

  3. I am jumping in here as the owner of a Kohler Numi and Kohler DTV+ system to comment on the warranty and support of Kohler. I am a picky and demanding customer and I have been nothing short of wowed by their customer service. I did not know their warranty was just one year but they should increase it because in my experience they are very generous with their warranty, covering repairs that are well past the warrant expiration.

My experience could be due to the fact that these are their top of the line, very high end systems and they are trying to keep good will, whereas they may not be so generous in supporting products lower down the food chain like the Veil. Their support has been so good that I just felt compelled to put in a good word for them when I saw this (I am in the market for another smart toilet but lower down the food chain).

I can also tell you that the tech they sent to repair my Numi is not a fan of the Numi’s build (problematic) and says the Veil is a much better toilet from a build/design/service standpoint.

Thank you to Alex for mentioning how loud the Veil is! I’ve never considered toilet volume before, but it is something I will evaluate for my next toilet due to its proximity to the master bed.
